Frequently Asked Questions

Our air handler sits in the attic. Does that complicate things?

Not for the cleaning itself. Attic equipment is standard in Morrisville townhomes and newer homes, and our gear is set up for it. What we pay attention to up there is the condition of the duct, because attic temperatures and humidity are hard on flex duct over fifteen or twenty years. Sagging sections, crushed runs, and connections that have worked loose are common, and we will show you photos of anything we find rather than quietly cleaning around it.

Three families have owned this house since 2004. How do we find out if the ducts were ever done?

You generally cannot, and neither can the seller. This comes up constantly in Morrisville. Rather than guess, we pull a return cover and let you see the inside of your own system. Some homeowners look at that and book the work on the spot. Others look and decide to wait a couple of years, which is a perfectly reasonable outcome.

The house is brand new. Is there really anything in there?

Usually yes, and it catches people off guard. Duct is clean when it ships and dirty by the time the house is finished, because it sits open through the messiest stage of construction. Very few builders clean it out before handing over keys. If you moved into a new build recently and find yourself dusting far more than seems fair, that is normally where it is coming from.

How long will it take, and do we need to be out of the house?

Two to four hours for most homes, depending on the size of the system, how many returns it has, and what we find inside. A townhome with a single system is often quicker. You are welcome to stay, and most people do, though it is not the quietest few hours you will spend at home.

Do you take on commercial work in Morrisville?

We do. Offices, retail, restaurants, medical and dental practices, daycares, and light industrial space around Perimeter Park and the airport. Commercial jobs get scheduled around your operating hours, evenings and weekends included, so nobody is running brushes through the ductwork above your customers.
